Real-Time

The MIDL merge running on NOAA/SWPC's real-time solar wind stream (SOLAR-1, ACE, IMAP): 1-minute-resolution data, published to this page in 5-minute batches. This preliminary tier is lower quality than the monthly dataset: real-time telemetry is not cross-calibrated, WIND is absent, and the most recent hours may still be revised.

Left: per-spacecraft measurements as delivered by the real-time stream. Right: the merged MIDL product at the closest L1 monitor, GSM coordinates. The most recent ~3 hours are still settling and may be revised as late data arrives. Note that SOLAR-1 is currently the only real-time monitor that reports the full velocity vector — ACE and IMAP downlink scalar speed, density and temperature only — so Ux, Uy and Uz come from SOLAR-1 alone.
